Airbus A330-200 G-MLJL (MSN 254) was delivered in June 1999 to Airtours International, became part of MyTravel Airways and joined Thomas Cook Airlines in 2007. On 23 September 2019 it flew Orlando to Manchester, the final flight for both the aircraft and Thomas Cook Airlines.

Each tag is cut from a genuine piece of G-MLJL's fuselage and engraved with its registration and an individual serial number. Because every tag comes from a different part of the aircraft, colour, texture and thickness vary, and small scratches or paint chips are part of its service history.
