Airbus A330-200 D-AXGG (MSN 504) began service with Volare Airlines in 2002 and went on to fly for Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines and SunExpress before joining Eurowings in 2017. It was parked in Munich in 2020 and fully recycled in 2023.

Released as a limited edition of 2,500 pieces, each tag is cut from a genuine piece of D-AXGG's fuselage and engraved with its registration and an individual serial number. Because every tag comes from a different part of the aircraft, colour, texture and thickness vary, and small scratches or paint chips are part of its service history.
