A6-APA was Etihad's first Airbus A380 and the 150th A380 delivered. It debuted the "Facets of Abu Dhabi" livery in 2014 and entered service on 27 December 2014 between Abu Dhabi and London. This tag is made from original GLARE, the glass fibre-reinforced aluminium laminate used on the A380's upper fuselage, which makes it noticeably thicker than a standard aircraft skin tag.

Released as a limited edition of 11,000 pieces, each tag is cut from a genuine piece of A6-APA's fuselage and engraved with its registration and an individual serial number. Because every tag comes from a different part of the aircraft, colour, texture and thickness vary, and small scratches or paint chips are part of its service history.
