Airbus A320-232 B-6279 (MSN 2772) first flew on 24 April 2006 and joined China Southern Airlines a few weeks later. Powered by two IAE V2527-A5 engines, it flew for the airline for almost 18 years until 2024, before being dismantled and recycled in Kuala Lumpur.

Released as a limited edition of 3,700 pieces, each tag is cut from a genuine piece of B-6279's fuselage and engraved with its registration and an individual serial number. Because every tag comes from a different part of the aircraft, colour, texture and thickness vary, and small scratches or paint chips are part of its service history.
